Salsa/Cha Cha Performance Class

This 12-week performance class gives int/adv Salsa/Cha Cha dancers a moment to show off all their hard work and skills! Student learn a short choreographed group composition that focuses on musicality, shines, each dancers strengths, and team work! Dancers work with Sarah Riddle, instructor/dancer/choreographer with 13 years experience working with Latin dance companies and performing for audiences of every size and type. Her focus in this intensive course is to get dancers to understand movement and their own limits by pushing comfort levels and challenging her students to improve in a very supportive and encouraging way. The choreography stretches each dancers imagination past what they are accustomed to on the social floor, making them more creative and spontaneous dancers in general. Not only will dancers improve their musicality and dance ability, but students who have performed with one of Sarah's groups have exclaimed that their overall confidence as a dancer shot through the roof, all while long lasting dance friendships are forged through the process. Stage fright? Forget about it. Every performer in one of Sarah's group who expressed any doubts about performing insisted hey "do it again!" by the end of the first performance.
No partner required, but strongly recommended. Must be upper level Salsa 3 or 4 proficiency with instructor approval. Familiarity with Cha Cha basics: cross body lead and simple turn patterns.
This class will aim to perform March 23rd + 24th.
